While the world waited for news of the Higgs Boson

While the world watched with bated breath, desperately trying to glean news of the much sought-after Higgs Boson particle, physicist Jon Butterworth wrote a limerick.

A physicist saw an enigma
And called to his mum “Flying pig, ma!”
She said “Flying pigs?
Next thing you’ll see the Higgs!”
He said “Nah, not until it’s five sigma!”
